Son of Beast to Roar in 2000:   Gimmick or Thrillride?

The word gimmick is almost a four-letter word in the amusement park industry.  The last thing that amusement companies want to hear is that one of their new rides is "gimmicky".  Well sorry to say, Parmount's Kings Island is facing this issue with their plans to include the first ever loop on a wooden rollercoaster.  Some say that this will make the ride more intense and more of a thrillride, while others say that it is just a way for Kings Island to be talked about.   Son of Beast will prove to be a remarkable coaster, with its impressive stats.   But when it's all said and done, will SOB be a gimmick or thrillride?
