New in '99

• Busch Gardens Willamsburg - Apollo's Chariot, a Bolliger & Mabillard hypercoaster is built breaking the record for the most total drop footage in the world.  The first drop is an outstanding 210 ft. followed by eight other drops.

• Cedar Point  -  Woodstock Express, a "family coaster" is built, named after the cuddly little bird from Peanuts.

• Kings Island  -  Face/Off, an Invertigo inverted coaster is constructed (along with an S&S  tower named Drop Zone).  Face/Off contains a unique design as each car holds 4 people, 2 riders facing the other 2 riders.

• Six Flags Great America  -  Raging Bull, a Bolliger & Mabillard "hypertwister" is constructed and is the "roughest, toughest, most intense roller coaster in the world!  This 'hypertwister' thrusts guests into turns banked as much as 50 degrees while travelling more than 70 miles an hour!"

Please send in detailed descriptions of new rides, designs, and/or records that "Hypercoaster" does not have included, which is a lot!
