7-22-99  -  Amusement park giant Cedar Point announces its project for Y2K!  Coaster enthusiasts stunned by the announcement of Millennium Force, a 300+ ft. "giga-coaster" that will be constructed on the penninsula by Lake Erie.  The coaster is designed by Intamin of Switzerland (Superman: Ride of Steel) and is to include many special features including a few 122 degree "over-banked" turns and two tunnels.  The coaster will enable Cedar Point to break TEN WORLD RECORDS!!!  Goto the features section for more information.

Recently:

Kings Island  -  The long standing theme park is to unleash a new wooden coaster in 2000.  The coaster is to be named none other than Son of Beast (abr.: SOB).  The ride will be the first ever LOOPING WOODEN COASTER!!!   This coaster will help the park break eight records.  Construction has been progressing.  Article in the features section.

Six Flags Magic Mountain  -  One of the most popular amusement parks in the industry,  SFMM is continuing construction on a major coaster that will have a first drop that goes through an underground tunnel, and the length of the coaster will pass through Collosus.
